There’s nothing like a company barbecue. It’s a great way to bond as a team, blow off some steam, and build team morale. This year, the company BBQ will probably be an extra special occasion. It could be the first time everyone is together after a year of working remotely!
If you’re planning your next company BBQ, there’s one nasty job you have to do before the big day, clean the grill. Every year when grilling season starts, it’s best to do a deep clean before you fire it up, even if you wiped it down before putting it away for the winter.
As a cleaning company, we love sharing cleaning tips, so we scoured the web for some of the best grill suggestions to share.
- Use common household products to clean your grill. You don’t need to buy expensive cleaners full of chemicals. Baking soda, vinegar, beer, onions, hot water, and even wet newspapers can do the job! Check out these grill cleaning tips to find out how.
- Make sure to take apart all the cooking parts. Oil, carbon deposits, dust, and grime build up in a grill, especially if it’s stored outside or improperly. Make sure to have a screwdriver handy, so you can easily disassemble the cooking apparatuses to clean each piece thoroughly.
- Use a good stainless cleaner for the outside of your grill. Make sure to clean it on an overcast day as the heat from the sun can cause streaks.
- Clean your tools. Once your grill is shiny and clean, you still have one last step, cleaning your tools. Make sure to thoroughly clean each grilling tool and switch out those wire brushes each season, so the bristles don’t break off in your grill!
- Before cooking, make sure to fire up the grill and let it run for at least 30 minutes to burn off any residue from the cleaning process. Make sure to disconnect the propane tank and thoroughly check it. Replace with a new one if necessary. If you use charcoal briquettes, remove the old ones and add new ones before cooking.
