Whether that means renting a large container to hold all your debris or hiring a service to haul it away for you at the end of the day. You need a plan, and you need one that can handle a large volume of construction mess.
- Invest in safety gear. Do you know what will put a dent in your DIY enthusiasm? A tetanus shot! Wearing the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) can keep you safe from scratches, cuts, and bruises. So even if the goggles and gloves look a little more dorky than you’d like, put them on. There are no HGTV cameras for you to impress.
- Let your neighbors know about your construction plans. Nosy neighbors at your home or business will know you’re up to some construction project. Save yourself from the hassle of passive-aggressive eye rolls and comments, and give your neighbors the heads up before you start your project. Not only is this the neighborly thing to do, but it will also earn you some goodwill if the mess of your construction moves into shared areas.
