One of the tools that makes the MicroShield 360 program so effective is the electrostatic sprayer. In recent years, electrostatic sprayers have become more prevalent in the cleaning world for dispersing disinfectants. But why? Let us show you a few of the benefits of using this technology.
Even spray distribution
One of the drawbacks of traditional spray cleaner methods is that it’s hard to ensure equal distribution of the cleaning solution. But that doesn’t happen when you use electrostatic spray technology. Here’s how this problem is avoided.
The nozzle of an electrostatic spray gun contains an electrode with a negative charge. As the solution goes through the nozzle, it is atomized by the electrode, so the solution droplets become negatively charged. The negatively charged droplets are then attracted to the intended surface, which is positively charged. It’s sort of like how magnets pull one another in with increasing strength the closer they get to one another. This force of attraction pulls the negatively charged droplets to the surface with far greater force and allows the solution to distribute more evenly along the surface and in nooks and crannies. The extra strength of the electrostatic attraction between the negatively charged droplets and the positive surface is more powerful than gravity and allows the solution to cover the treated surface completely.
It’s faster
Not only is an electrostatic sprayer more effective at covering an area with a disinfectant solution like MicroShield 360, but it’s also a lot faster for cleaning teams. This technology makes it far easier to clean large spaces quicker and more effectively without wasting resources. It’s one of the reasons electrostatic sprayers and disinfectant usage has become so popular throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
What are the drawbacks?
There aren’t many drawbacks to electrostatic sprayer technology, especially with the MicroShield 360 system. It’s highly efficient and cost-effective. But it’s still essential that users are appropriately trained on how to use the equipment and wear personal protective equipment while spraying. Our MicroShield 360 team has special training to ensure they properly use this technology while treating a room to keep everyone safe.
When our team comes to treat your business or home with MicroShield 360, you don’t need to worry. They will ensure that the solution is applied safely using the electrostatic sprayer technology, and after it dries, it’s safe for you to be in the room without PPE. The MicroShield solution is also EPA-approved for hundreds of different surfaces, including food prep surfaces.
